Sony Computer Entertainment Europe in pole position with PlayStation 3 and MotorStorm at the Develop Industry Excellence Awards.

On 25 July 2007, the Develop Magazine's Industry Excellence Awards played host to Europe's game publishers and developers in Brighton.

Represented by Phil Harrison, Sony Computer Entertainment picked up the Grand Prix award for overall achievement for its endeavours in delivering a new hardware format - PlayStation 3 - that is inspiring next generation development.

Developer Evolution Studios' MotorStorm for PlayStation 3 and Zoe Mode's Crush for PSP won awards for best new intellectual properties on console and handheld respectively.

Lego Star Wars II, the much loved creation from Traveller's Tales, garnered accolades for Independent Developer and Best Use of a License.

Recognising creative and technological achievement in the European games and interactive entertainment industry, the annual Develop Industry Excellence Awards is now in its fifth year. Covering four categories and 18 awards, the event is geared towards recognising the influence and impact of games, as well as the diverse and innovative market in which today's developers operate.
