Take entertainment with you this summer with PSP.

Summer is here and that means holidays, days out and travelling. If you find that the travelling part can mar an otherwise perfect break, thankfully PSP can come to the rescue, offering many fun distractions on the move.

Games are an obvious choice to relieve the boredom of hanging around in airports, or long journeys by train or car. There are literally hundreds of games to pick and choose from, spanning a wide range of genres from in-depth forays into brave new worlds or quick pick-up-and-play offerings with gaming on the move in mind.

LocoRoco and PaRappa the Rapper are great examples of the latter. Absorbing and fun, yet playable in bite-sized chunks if you are constantly stopping and starting your journey, these games are a joy to play. They also have universal appeal, delighting young and old, making them perfect games to share.

Another option of the game front is to try something new. There are always plenty of free demos available from the PSP Store, so if you know you've got a journey coming up it is a good idea to spend a couple of minutes checking out what you could be missing.

Recent additions to the Store include Smash Court Tennis 3, Codemaster's TOCA Race Driver 3 Challenge and EA's Medal of Honor Heroes.

Music is another great way to help make your journey more relaxing and alongside demos, the Store is a great port of call for sampling upcoming bands. Drill Queen, Mohair, Thee Emergency and lots more music are only a couple of clicks away.

If you enjoy travelling with your familiar favourites, Media Manger for PSP is the ideal way to organise things. This easy to use PC program lets you grab your music and video files and transfer them straight to your PSP via a USB cable. Also, on the video front, if you don't like the in-flight flick you can take the cinema with you with UMD movies.

Like games, there are hundreds of UMD movies available from many of the major studios; from Open Season to Reservoir Dogs, there is the whole of Hollywood waiting.

Lastly for those keen to keep tabs on current affairs and their interests, PSP supports internet browsing and subscription to many forms of RSS letting you check the latest headlines, new posts on your favourite blogs or even music feeds from band and radio sites.

However you're travelling this summer, whatever the holiday, PSP can provide worlds of entertainment to make your break more fun.
