Conquer new challenges as the MotorStorm festival is unleashed in Alaska!
MotorStorm's breakneck racing festivals have ripped up the Monument Valley desert and smashed through everything in its way on The Island, and now the world's most frenetic racing tournament is set for a whole new challenge: the freezing temperatures of Alaska.
Developed by award-winning Bigbig Studios, the team behind the best-selling Pursuit Force series, MotorStorm Arctic Edge sees the music, the festival and the bone shattering off-road racing arrive in the breathtaking yet lethal and unpredictable setting of Alaska. Racers will not only have to contend with their vicious opponents, but hazardous obstacles such as sudden avalanches, broken ice bridges and three different, and completely unforgiving, racing altitudes. This is going to be the most hostile terrain and environment you are ever going to have to deal with.
Deadly weather
Making their debut alongside the six existing racing classes from the original MotorStorm, two brand new vehicles have been added to the fold to tackle the ice, the cold and the deep snow – the Snowcat and the Snow Machine. One has the muscle to power through the packed snow whilst the other has that essential grip and pace to battle head-on what the sub-zero conditions can, and will, throw at it.
The game features MotorStorm's breathtaking racing action alongside online multiplayer where you can race against other players using Infrastructure Mode on PSP to make it to the summit of the online global leaderboards. Alternatively, you can compete with up to eight of your friends wirelessly via Ad Hoc Mode.
Build and win
Plus, each vehicle in the game comes with a selection of alternate parts such as wheels, exhausts, spoilers, liveries and stickers for you to choose from and personalise your vehicle class with. You can even create your own liveries from a set of base patterns and decals meaning the design possibilities for your MotorStorm wheels are almost endless.
So buckle up and get ready for the coldest and most unforgiving MotorStorm festival yet on PSP and PS2 coming in autumn 2009.
