Ever wondered what it'd be like to transform into an Invizimal? Read on.
Invizimals like you've never seen them
Have you heard the news yet? Hundreds of monster sightings have been reported all over the world. Wings fill the night sky, but they're too large to belong to any birds. Fishermen tell tales of kraken rising from the ocean depths, while farmers say their livestock are startled by the mere sight of their own shadows.
It can only mean one thing: the Invizimals are back. But their behaviour is so unusual. For so many to show up at once, something must be wrong on their world.
As the teenage Invizimal expert, Hiro Tanaka, it's your job to boldly go where no boy has ever gone before; you must travel to the Invizimal world itself.
Be careful though, Invizimals love to battle; in fact it's how they greet each other. You'll have to have your wits about you, or you could end up on the wrong side of a Minotaur charge. And that's without considering the reports we've had of a new breed of steel Invizimals. Who knows what powers they could possess?
Uncover the secrets of The Lost Kingdom
Step through the Shadow Gate and enter The Lost Kingdom, a magical world filled with tropical jungles that are teeming with life, ancient temple ruins and cascading waterfalls that conceal hidden treasure troves.
As you venture deeper into this fantastical world, you'll stumble across all sorts of wonders. Soar through the sunset on the back of a dragon, sending out fireballs to meet the steel Invizimals that are hot on your heels. When the dust has settled, do your best to hunt down the collectibles scattered throughout the landscape. These items can be used to upgrade your abilities, unlock new areas and buy items to gain an edge in the multiplayer battle arena.
Pup idols are the rarest collectible of all and are devilishly hidden in the most unlikely places. If you can find a whole set, you'll be rewarded with a special Invizimal pup to train and turn into a champion.
Transform into your favourite Invizimals
Newly developed technology gives you the ability to transform into the Invizimals you meet on your adventure, simply defeat an Invizimal in battle and claim its form as your prize. Each Invizimal has its own strengths – upgrade your attacks wisely and choose your form to take advantage of your enemies' weaknesses. Are Zyphara's lightning-fast feline acrobatics or Xiong Mao's heavy-duty blows better suited to the task at hand?
And it isn't just during combat when you'll need to make wise choices. The Lost Kingdom has all sorts of nooks and crannies that require the skills of particular Invizimals to reach – dive underwater with Tigershark, climb to new heights as Ocelotl or glide across floating islands in the sky as the winged reptile, Chupacabra.
There are a total of 16 playable Invizimals to track down and defeat in battle; if you can manage that ambitious feat then you'll have to master their individual powers if there's any hope of saving The Lost Kingdom.
Train and battle Invizimals with your friends
All Invizimals love to battle, which is why special battle clubs have been springing up all over our world – to give them a safe place to engage in their favourite hobby. You'll instantly start building your team during the single player adventure; each form you acquire will be automatically added to your collection as a young pup. As you take on your friends' Invizimals, your pup will gain experience, level up, and grow into a colt. If you devote enough time to your Invizimal, one day it may turn into a max – a fearsome beast that's the strongest of its kind.
There are plenty of ways to customise your team of fierce creatures; you can name them, change their colours and turn them into a mysterious dark Invizimal if you manage to find a Dark Seed in The Lost Kingdom.
What's more, with Cross-Play you can battle and trade with players of Invizimals: The Alliance for PlayStation Vita. Add more than 140 different Invizimals to your collection through trading and stake your claim as one of the greatest Invizimal Hunters of all time.
