The PlayStation Community dives into gamescom 2011

August was a busy month for the PlayStation Community thanks to gamescom 2011 and a host of fun-packed activities and challenges, so why not join in the fun in September 2011.

The PlayStation Community joined the public at gamescom 2011 in Cologne for an early taste of some of the biggest and brightest upcoming games.

Many users shared their thoughts and opinions on the incredible entertainment on show, including PlayStation Vita, the 3D display, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and many more games and products.

It was the first time our new Finnish PlayStation Community joined the conversation in and around Europe's biggest video game show, and you can still have your say in the dedicated threads in the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com.

The winning country in our international MotorStorm Apocalypse championship, Portugal, has been crowned after a total of 45 frantic races and many more online test drives.

Resistance 3 invaded PlayStation 3 in September 2011 and the PlayStation community took the fight to the deadly Chimera in this latest chapter in the blockbuster series on PlayStation.

Now you can prepare for the furious fight ahead by discussing weapons and participating in online missions with other Resistance 3 fans, then try your hand at the Resistance 3 competitions lined up for you in the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com.

Creative community

In April 2011, we asked the PlayStation Community to design their very own Portable ID theme and post it in the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com.

Three creations made the podium from more than 600 entries submitted, and you can reward these talented PlayStation Community members by heading over to eu.playstation.com/psn/mypsn and downloading their Portable IDs.

Back at gamescom, some of our most loyal members made their way to Germany to attend this year's show. They brought us back lots of pictures and videos including a DanceStar Party duel between German user schatzikowski and the German PlayStation Community manager, rockette_de.
