Fancy wining yourself a copy of LittleBigPlanet on PSP for your creative contraptions?
After the resounding success and popularity of creative competition LittleBigPlanet Contraption Challenge 10, which saw over 1,000 entries and over 200,000 views, the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com is ready to launch LittleBigPlanet Contraption Challenge 11 - Artillery Weapon.
If you've not jumped into a LittleBigPlanet Contraption Challenge before, the concept is brilliantly simple. All you need to do is load your copy of LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation 3 and show off your creative side to the world. The Challenge gives you a task to create a contraption in LBP's Create Mode in the most original and imaginative way possible.
In this particular case, Contraption Challenge 11 is titled Artillery Weapon, which requires you to construct an artillery weapon which comprises of three parts:
1. The weapon itself (it can be mobile or stationary).
2. The projectile (angry cats, rotating mops or even a simple bomb).
3. A target (entrants can create their own or use the ones provided in the example level).
In order to enter, you must first visit the level titled CC11 - Example by Forum member Nuclearfish for instructions, then construct your contraption using the My Moon area in LittleBigPlanet on PS3. Once your contraption is complete, you must publish it (along with the projectile and target) within a level. You can name your level anything you want, but it must contain the phrase CC11 in its title to be valid for entry.
Four finalists will be chosen from the entries, with a poll held at the Challenge's conclusion to decide the overall winner, who will earn a copy of LittleBigPlanet on PSP. The submission deadline is 9 May 2010, so make sure you get creating now. Entries are limited to three per PlayStation Network online ID and you must be 18 or over to claim the prize.
