Popular PlayStation Network title, WipEout HD, is about to get an unforgettable boost in the form of the Fury expansion pack, which increases the content of the blistering PlayStation 3 futuristic racing game.

The pack comes with eight new tracks, 13 new ship models and three new game modes. The first mode is called Eliminator, which lets you use the full arsenal of WipEout's weaponry to turn your rivals into scrap. Be the first the reach the target score and be crowned the Eliminator champion.

Next up is Zone Battle. Strapped into a craft where acceleration is automatic, your goal is to reach the target zone intact as the pace increases. As you fill your zone bar by swooping over the zone pads, you have a choice of how to use the bar - either by increasing your speed or absorbing vital lost energy. With your opponents leaving obstacles all over the track which can leave your chances in ruin, what do you choose - speed to get to the end or energy to survive?

Detonator mode introduces a brand new ship model as you test your piloting and shooting skills on as many as 14 different stages. You're judged on the ability to pinpoint and destroy mines left on the track, and take out a bomb on each stage for extra points - the more accurate you are, the more points you'll rack up.

With both Zone Battle and Eliminator available to play online for multiplayer action, WipEout HD Fury also comes with a restyled front end and the ability to play all the new content, ships and modes on the original HD tracks, playable in full High Definition.
