Fight your way down memory lane with the Flash and Thunder Pack - two original Killzone maps remade for Killzone 2 and PlayStation 3.

Prepare for even more intense action from the theatre of war that is Killzone 2 with the Flash and Thunder Pack, available to download from PlayStation Store on June 11, 2009. Lock and load the maps of Beach Head and Southern Hills, two of the more popular levels from the original Killzone on PlayStation 2, now completely remade for PS3 with an intense and explosive new gameplay feature to keep you on your toes.

The Beach Head map is a rain-lashed, windswept battlefield where the ISA have to defend a coastal stronghold against a Helghast landing force, with close-quarter combat and stealth the necessary tactics to survive.

The Southern Hills map is a mixture of built-up terrain and wide open spaces, as the ISA must storm a Helghast compound on top of a hill. Which means you can expect plenty of hiding places, headshots and sniper kills, given the large scale of the environment. With the ISA and Helghast fleet fighting for dominance overhead, you may want to keep an ear out for the alarms - because when the claxon sounds the ISA's cruisers will fire their high-potent energy beams down toward Helghan, causing a powerful nuclear explosion that will instantly kill anyone who doesn't take shelter...

Download this map pack and experience the full Flash and Thunder of Killzone 2 on June 11, 2009.
