On Her Majesty's secret service
You know the name. You know the number. Now, get ready to experience a classic James Bond mission in a whole new way on PlayStation 3, as GoldenEye 007: Reloaded harnesses the power of PlayStation Move in a cutting-edge espionage thriller.
Daniel Craig, star of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, slips into the tuxedo, letting you experience his unforgettably lethal take on Bond. A Russian super-weapon is orbiting somewhere above the Earth and, using any means necessary, it's up to Bond to recover its activation codes before it can detonate.
Punctuating the action are several nods to 1995's GoldenEye, originally starring Pierce Brosnan as the secret agent, while there are plenty of new locations and missions to make this truly feel like a brand new Bond adventure. There's the familiar, such as the spectacular opening sequence at Arkhangelsk Dam, followed by the new, including a heart-stopping gun battle in a Barcelona nightclub and a hostage rescue at a vast arms show in Dubai.
A modern-day backdrop ensures that Bond's traditional foes – such as the old Soviet Union – are no more. Instead, this threat comes from the shadows, so you must master hi-tech gadgets as well as high-spec firepower to combat it.
For your eyes only
Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench, as Bond and M respectively, lend their vocal talents to GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, giving the game the same uncompromising atmosphere that made Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace such box office smashes.
Craig's rugged likeness is also impressively recreated and although you'll see the action through Bond's eyes for the majority of the game, gripping cutscenes featuring the main characters allow you to see just whose skin you're playing in regularly.
Outside of the Mission Mode, the MI6 Ops Missions challenge you to put your 007 status to the test in a range of scenarios. Every location you play through in the single player campaign is revisited in these bite-sized objectives, as you take on the hard-hitting Assault, Elimination, Stealth and Defence tasks. Successfully completing all of these earns you up to 44 special stars which prove to your friends how sharp your instincts really are.
Relentless, gritty and ruthless, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded on PS3 is a reimagining as ice cool as a freshly shaken vodka martini.
A view to a kill
Unholster your PlayStation Move motion controller and shoot with unparalleled accuracy in GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, a game which rewards stepping back from the action as well as running headlong into it.
Fast-paced shooting blends with covert gameplay to deliver multiple options throughout each mission. One early example sees you infiltrating the defences of the towering Arkhangelsk facility in Russia. By taking the most straightforward route to your goal, you'll run into heavy resistance as guards prepare to mow you down. Yet a little exploration reveals a hidden door, beyond which you can outflank the enemy and either cut them down from behind or bypass them altogether.
Attempt the game's tougher difficulty settings, and not only will you be confronted with some fearsome enemy tactics, you'll also find more objectives to complete. In times like these your motion controller will come into its own, letting you intuitively strafe and duck behind cover between furious exchanges of gunfire.
Powerful weapons - including rocket launchers, Bond's P99 silenced pistol and even a hijacked tank - ensure that GoldenEye 007: Reloaded on PS3 will blow the living daylights out of your senses.
Die another day
GoldenEye 007: Reloaded's iconic locations provide the perfect backdrop for some of the most intense multiplayer action on PlayStation. Whether it's the snowy wastes of Severnaya, the claustrophobic decks of a modern warship or the perfect sniping opportunities offered along the Arkhangelsk Dam, you will do battle on some of the most illustrious maps around.
Four players can play against one another in split screen mode on one PS3 system, or you can connect to the game's online modes via PlayStation Network, where a mixture of up to 15 budding secret agents and super-villains await you.
Choose from one of the most famous character line-ups in any video game, then get to know every nook, cranny and ambush spot. Oddjob and his deadly bowler hat, golden gun-toting Scaramanga or, exclusively on PS3, Moonraker's Hugo Drax – who will you decide to stalk Bond as?
Make your choice quickly. The longer you wait before venturing online, the more accomplished your opponents will become, as they get to know each map and its secret weapon stashes like the backs of their hands.
