Master of disaster
Wear the cape of a fearless stuntman and compete to earn the title of Master of Disaster. From humble but dangerous beginnings, you will have to gain the acclaim of the crowd and defeat your rivals, the reckless Team Nasty.
Defy death across 60 levels and speed through 10 themed tours to put Joe back on the podium. Choose an event from a diverse range of hazardous game modes like Target Smash, Assault Course, Race, Coin Dash, Bowling Bounce and Puzzle Mode.
In each event there are up to eight challenge stars to earn by thrilling the crowd. Some involve collecting stars high in the sky using skilful boosting, beating Team Nasty to the finish line, collecting the letters that spell "DANGER", beating the clock, launching your bike at top speed towards a rack of bowling pins and scoring a strike or keeping the crowd cheering as you rack up combos throughout a whole level. Challenge stars are used to unlock further levels in the tour and allow you to pick and choose your route to becoming the world's greatest stuntman.
Joe Danger is all about the weird and wonderful levels that can not only be played, but also created. Creating levels is almost as fast and fun as playing the game itself; as you ride through your level, you can select Edit at any time to freeze the world and play about with it however you want. You can drop a ramp then launch Joe over it, or place a shark tank in there just for good measure.
There are no objectives, except to create the most impressive, ridiculous, record breaking stunts you can think of. Create a canyon of doom and try to break the world record for most broken bones, attempt the largest loop-the-loop chain followed by a pile of mousetraps or design an assault course laid out like your bedroom floor.
You can even create your own challenges to send to your friends. Lay down the gauntlet with your own multiplayer race level, setting out a Coin Dash against the clock or a tricky Target Smash. Compete for high scores or even just for the most dangerous creation, and see who has the most guts.
Every stunt counts
Accelerate and lean backwards to pop a wheelie, take off from a ramp, then pull back to pull off a backward flip in the air. String tricks like these together and you will earn a boost. Boost will make you gain speed over ramps so you can perform more dangerous stunts and earn even more boost.
Get enough air and you can attempt grabs, handstands, or maybe even a special move like the Funky Chicken. Hold the trick for as long as you can and let go before you hit the ground to score big. Let go too late and you could come to a sorry end.
Falling off isn't all bad news though; if you come off your bike at speed, you can make a last ditch attempt to please the crowd by nudging your rag doll body and striking poses as you are flung through the air at top speed. For higher scores, keep your combo going for as long as you dare then watch the crowd go wild as you cross the finish line.
