Tip 1 of 6: Discover everything you need to know about sharing on PS4.
There's a lot more to sharing on PlayStation 4 than you may realise. Here's why:
With PS4, what's yours is theirs...
Fancy taking your great new game over to a mate's for a quick blast? No problem. You can share Blu-ray Disc games and play used games on your PS4 system without connecting to the Internet or paying any usage fees. Quick and easy
Taking PlayStation Store with you
If you have friends and family members who want to play your PlayStation Store purchased titles while you're away, then they're in luck. All they need to do is simply start your PS4 system and get playing, without the need to log in.
If you can't sign in to PlayStation Network but still want to get stuck into your game, never fear. Simply play using a Guest account. When you have the chance to sign back in to PlayStation Network from the same PS4 system, all of your trophies and saved games will transfer straight into your PSN ID.
PlayStation Plus Powered
This will make you even more popular with your flatmates and loved ones - your PlayStation Plus membership can also be enjoyed by anyone who shares your PS4. So all of those games you've downloaded at no extra cost can be played by anyone who has access to your PS4 system. Better create a ticket system as well, though - your PS4 may get a little crowded...
Slipping out? Sign in
So you've been kicked out of your place because everyone else wants to play your PS4. Don't worry, you can still get your gaming on the go - and we're not even talking about playing your PS4 games on your PlayStation Vita using Remote Play. If you've purchased games from PlayStation Store and want to play them on your friend's PS4 system, all you need to do is sign in to PlayStation Network with your Sign-In ID and password. When you log in you'll also gain access to all your PlayStation Plus features such as your Instant Game Collection as well.
Unleash the power of the SHARE button
Do you see that innocent looking SHARE button on your DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller? That's your key to unlocking an incredible variety of features. Your PS4 is constantly recording gameplay footage automatically in the background, while you play. You can save, distribute and share recorded gameplay video, captured gameplay screenshots and livestream gameplay footage in real time, all without any additional cost.
Up to 15 minutes of footage is recorded before you press the SHARE button, so if you've done something spectacular, give it a quick jab and your moment of triumph is captured for all to see.
Go for the prime cuts
Before you blast your victory onto the Internet, why not trim your video using the SHARE button interface? There you can specify a starting and ending point to make sure your video has only the best bits for your adoring public.
Go social with your sharing
Once you've recorded your super sharp skills to your PS4 Hard Disc Drive and given it a quick edit, you're probably ready to share them with more than just your loyally observing cat. So, upload your game video to Facebook, any game screenshots you have via Facebook and Twitter, and your gameplay livestreams via Ustream and Twitch. Take in mind that some footage won't be recordable due to developer and game specific restrictions, so don't get too carried away.
Become a video star
By signing up to Ustream or Twitch and using your PS4, you can become an Internet celebrity with your very own games channel. Whether you want to walk people through a tricky level of Escape Plan or simply wish to demonstrate how great you are at KNACK, Ustream and Twitch give you a platform to reach millions.
Don't forget, you can add a voice-over to your video by speaking into your PlayStation Camera or mono headset. Live video game commentary at its best, and under your control.
