Play AVCHD files

You can play AVCHD-format video files that are saved on Memory Stick media or on the hard disk of a digital video camera.

AVCHD video can be played by inserting Memory Stick media in the Memory Stick slot of a PS3 system or by connecting a digital video camera to the PS3 system using a USB cable.

  • When using a USB card reader, use a device that supports Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0).
  • When using a digital video camera equipped with a hard disk, connect the PS3 system and digital video camera using a USB cable.
  • A device that is connected to a USB connector of the PS3 system will be displayed as (USB Device) in the PS3 Home Menu.
