Hellboy, Mike Mignola's stone-fisted comic creation grasps PlayStation 3 and PSP with an ample hand.
With the creative guidance of Mike Mignola and director Guillermo del Toro, best known for the Academy Award-winning Pan's Labyrinth, Konami's Hellboy The Science of Evil is shaping up to be a must have experience on PlayStation 3 and PSP for fans of Red.
Wielding the Right Hand of Doom you will be able to take on the role of Hellboy, a crimson-skinned warrior of supernatural origin, in a struggle to overthrow a sinister Nazi plot helmed by the crazed Hermann von Klempt.
Gameplay focuses around a context-sensitive fighting system - powering up Hellboy's attacks, unleashing less impactful rapid combos, grappling with foes and using the destructible environment as a weapon.
Additionally, on PlayStation 3, you will be able to team up with a friend to battle through the game via co-operative online play, taking on the roles of a number of characters from the Hellboy universe.
In addition to Ron Perlman, who portrayed Hellboy in Guillermo del Toro's 2004 adaptation, Konami announced at E3 2007 that fellow cast members Selma Blair and Doug Jones will also be lending their voices to the game. They will reprise their roles as the volatile fire starter Liz Sherman and aquatic genius Abe Sapien respectively.
Selma, known for her roles in Legally Blonde and Cruel Intentions, and Doug, who recently lent his talents to Pan's Labyrinth and Adaptation, created enduring identities for their characters in the popular 2004 Hellboy feature film, as they battled alongside Ron Perlman's imposing portrayal of Red.
