This adaptation sees Laura Linney (Kinsey and Man of the Year) playing a single lawyer, who takes on the church and the state, when she fights for the life of the priest, after he has performed a fatal exorcism. Battling a cocky state lawyer, as well as her own demons, she realises that her career so far has not given her any fulfilment.
