Watch, share and discover a new world of film masterpieces with MUBI, the new service coming to PlayStation 3 that turns your TV into an on-demand international cinema.

During the 2010 Cannes Film Festival Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced MUBI, a stunning new service coming to PlayStation 3 that is set to introduce millions of PS3 owners to the world of international, classic, Independent and cult cinema.

MUBI will open up a treasure trove of hidden gems, art-house flicks and international masterpieces including past Cannes Film Festival classics so that film lovers can sit back and enjoy what might otherwise have taken a lifetime to discover.

However, MUBI on PS3 is not just about enjoying the exquisite collection of films in the library, it also allows you to be part of a community of film lovers, where you can discover and share your world of film with like-minded people

So how will it all work? First, you download the free MUBI application from PlayStation Store. Then, you open it up and start watching and discovering- it's really that easy. You'll see some free-to-watch movies alongside pay-per-view movies that you can rent for a week - and you may be tempted by an all-you-can-watch monthly subscription

MUBI is VOD for cinephiles who love discovering and talking about film, and it's a movie service that takes you beyond the mainstream, all streamed straight to your PS3 to turn your living room into a cinema that never closes. Prepare to dim your lights and enjoy the main feature.

Start discovering a whole different world of cinema on PlayStation 3 later in 2010.
