Relive GT Academy on Dave from Saturday April 4 at 7pm

Follow GT Academy winner Lucas Ordóñez as he makes the transition from Gran Turismo 5 Prologue to the real track.

In the summer of 2008, Sony Computer Entertainment and Nissan set the GT Academy wheels in motion, aiming for what previously had seemed impossible – taking a rookie driver from the virtual world of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue to the Nissan PlayStation racing team and a real endurance race.

In January 2009, GT Academy winner Lucas Ordóñez and his Nissan 350Z GT4 crossed the finish line of the TOYO Tires 24h of Dubai endurance race, proving that a driver trained on Gran Turismo could transfer their skills onto the track.

And now you can follow Lucas's incredible year on Dave from Saturday April 4, 2009 at 7pm. The GT Academy Series will run for five weeks, taking you behind the scenes of the Silverstone final, Lucas's intensive driver training and the race itself, ending with an hour long special recapping the entire journey. Episodes will be repeated on Wednesdays at 7:30pm and at 11:00am on Saturdays.
