Classic scenes

Yoostar 2 In the Movies on PlayStation 3 is a movie buff's dream thanks to a huge roster of classic scenes from films such as The Wizard of Oz, Shaun of the Dead and the terrifying thriller, The Terminator.

However, it's not just the perfect game for film fans, but also a great party game for all the family, your friends and even aspiring screen stars who want to test their acting skills from the comfort of their living room.

Have you ever wanted to build a monster, make someone an offer they can't refuse or hang out with the guys and girls at the super stylish offices of the Sterling Cooper advertising agency? Well, now you can with Yoostar 2 In the Movies thanks to a wealth of memorable moments from Frankenstein, The Godfather and the critically acclaimed TV series, Mad Men. So, what are you waiting for? It's time for you to step in front of the camera and hog the limelight.

Gameplay

Lights, camera, action

To experience the screen magic in Yoostar 2 In the Movies you're going to need a PlayStation Eye camera, a wireless controller, plenty of space in your living room and a few props. Acting out scenes is simple: pick a film or TV show clip from the selection available, and then watch it at least once so you can get a feel for how the lines are delivered and the speed at which you need to perform them.

Once you've done that, the game prompts you to step out of view of the PlayStation Eye camera. It does this so it can digitally erase the character you'll be playing from the clip. A word of advice: make sure every person in the room is out of view of the PlayStation Eye camera, otherwise they will appear in the frame with you as ghosting images. Now, step back into view and position yourself according to the screen prompt and get ready to act. It's that simple.

There are a number of game modes in Yoostar 2 In the Movies including a single player campaign mode that's perfect for swatting up on some great one-liners and scenes for when you have some friends around. If you just want to jump straight into the action, then choose Quickplay mode and select a clip. One of the great things about Yoostar 2 In the Movies is that every performance you make is captured and recorded, which means you can check back in on certain shots and look for ways to improve on them.

Whose line is it, anyway?

Multiplayer

Whose line is it, anyway?

The real fun in Yoostar 2 In the Movies comes when playing with a friend. This way you get the chance to perform clips as a duo. Just like in the single player campaign mode, you will both need to calibrate the scene by first stepping out of frame so the PlayStation Eye camera can take a background snapshot and digitally remove the real actors. Then just line yourselves up when prompted and you'll soon find yourselves acting out moments from films such as the classic comedy musical, The Blues Brothers.

Here you will both have to work together to deliver the lines exactly as they appear on-screen to get the highest possible score. Feeling brave? Why not share some of the scenes you've filmed with friends on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube? And don't forget to visit PlayStation Store to download more classic clips from your favourite films and TV shows.
