It's a robot fight spectacular, as Konami constructs the PS2's first online mech combat game.
Purpose-built futuristic mechs face off against one another in Phantom Crash 2050, a frenzied, arcade-style action combat title from Konami. The first PS2 game to let you go robot-to-robot online, Phantom Crash 2050 also boasts huge customisation options, 'Phantom' camouflage cloaking abilities and intense online arena combat for up to eight players.
By the year 2071, robot fighting has become the most popular sport in the world, with huge dedicated arenas in future metropolitan centres such as London, Las Vegas and New York. Enter the fray with a mech of your own, sending enemies to the scrapheap and earning cash to finance repairs and make modifications.
There are a dizzying range of new body parts and weapons to spend your moolah on, with more than a million variants possible. Mod your mech into an unstoppable killing machine then take it into the online arena. Up to eight players can fight, with four players battling head-to-head at one time and new players joining the carnage as soon as others are defeated.
