Specific Rules – Resistance 3 Creative Writing Competition

Entry Rules

1. This promotion is open to residents aged 18 years or over of: Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and United Kingdom.
2. To enter this promotion, you must compose an original story in English of no more than 1000 words following on from an opening narrative to be found at http://comps.software.eu.playstation.com/comp_v3/comps/index/text/comp/r3/locale/en_GB.  Save for those characters featured in the opening narrative, the story cannot feature original characters from the Resistance series. The story must be submitted in a text box at the same webpage (http://comps.software.eu.playstation.com/comp_v3/comps/index/text/comp/r3/locale/en_GB) along with your name, address, contact details, country of residence, and date of birth. 
3. This promotion is open for entries on 31 January 2012 at 17:00 GMT and closes for entries on 21 February 2012 at 23:59 GMT.
4. This promotion is limited to one entry per person.  No entrant may receive more than one Prize.
5. The one Winner and four Runners-Up will be selected by a panel of judges at their discretion from Insomniac Games on the basis of literary merit within 30 working days of the closing date specified above.
6. The Winner's Prize consists of:
   • a Survivor Edition of Resistance 3;
   • a PS Move Bundle Starter Pack; and
   • signed artwork by Olly Moss,

worth approximately EUR 350 and GBP 295.

Each Runner-Up's Prize consists of signed artwork by Olly Moss worth approximately EUR 175 and GBP 150.

7. If the Prize is found to be defective or damaged on delivery, the Promoter must be notified in writing within 7 days of the delivery date, otherwise the Prize will be deemed to be accepted as delivered. This does not affect your statutory rights (if any).
8. The one Winner and four Runners-Up will be notified by mail, e-mail or telephone within 14 days of the panel's decision and must claim their Prize within 14 days of the notification.  Prizes shall be dispatched by registered post.  The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch the Prize within 5 working days of claim but does not accept any liability where Prizes are dispatched later.
9. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, publish the name of the Winner and the Runners-Up as well as their country of residence on the Promoter's website(s). The details of the Winner and the Runners-Up (name and country) will be made available on request to those enclosing a stamped SAE marked [name of recipient] to the following address: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited, 10 Great Marlborough Street, London W1F 7LP within 6 weeks.
10. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of the Terms and Conditions or incorrect, illegible, fraudulent or other invalid or improper information has been provided, the Promoter may at their sole discretion refuse to process an entry or fulfill any Prize awarded.
