PLAYSTATION®3

Tips on how to get your PS3 online.

When setting [Internet Connection Settings] under Settings > [Network Settings], you can select [Easy] or [Custom] as the first step of the procedure.

Easy: Basic settings are automatically set.
Custom: You can set detailed information for the following items:

  • Ethernet Operation Mode
  • IP Address Setting (Automatic, Manual or PPPoE)
  • DNS Setting
  • MTU
  • Proxy Server
  • UPnP

Note:

  • After [Easy] or [Custom] is selected, the system will detect whether an Ethernet cable is connected. To set to connect to the Internet wirelessly, you must first remove the Ethernet cable.
  • For details on settings under [Custom], refer to the information provided by your Internet service provider or the instructions supplied with the network device.
