Click
Release date: January 2007
Rating: BBFC 12
Director: Frank Coraci
Cast: Adam Sandler, Kate Beckinsale, Christopher Walken, Henry Winkler, David Hasselhoff, Julie Kavner, Jennifer Coolidge and Sean Astin
Adam Sandler leads an all-star cast in this funny and emotionally moving film. With an offbeat plot, which centres on Sandler using a magical remote control given to him by a mysterious sales clerk, the sum of this film is far more than the hysterical button clicking of its parts.
Sandler's character, Michael Newman, is a workaholic who doesn't have time for his family as he tries to earn a well-deserved promotion from his ungrateful boss. When he is given a remote that allows him to control his life directly, skipping past life's little distractions, his prayers are answered. However, as Michael gleefully mutes, skips and scans past his family and his friends, the magical remote gradually takes over his life.
