RSS video streaming on PSP

PSP™

Entertainment on PSP has evolved again. The latest system software update (version 2.80) has added and enhanced the capabilities of PSP to introduce video RSS to PSP.

This is the era of on demand information and entertainment programming and the birth of RSS video streaming or as it is better known, vodcasting. The growth in modern day technology gives us the opportunity to access information and consume it when we want.

RSS video streaming is the latest medium for information, entertainment and views. Traditional types of programming that you are used to seeing on TV are being recreated in digital format and delivered online for download and playback as and when you want.

The latest PSP system software update (version 2.80) has added RSS video capability to PSP and has opened up the world of news, views and entertainment to your PSP. Vodcasting generally entails short episodic pieces allowing you to search and absorb lots of different content.

Vodcasting is still in its early growth stages as a medium and so the type of programming you will see on the current vodcasting landscape is mainly created by enthusiasts and promoters. Production values do range quite a bit and are generally of an amateur level but very creative and very entertaining.

To set up an RSS link either enter your favourite RSS URL into the PSP Internet Browser or navigate to a web page containing an RSS button. Once entered or navigated to, PSP will prompt you to add the stream as one of your RSS channels. We have selected a few links to get you started.

The more adventurous of you, with something to say or entertain us with, should search out how to create your own podcasts.

Vodcasting is fast becoming the communication medium for communities and PSP is right there at the centre as an entertainment conductor. Broadcasts for PSP are continuing to evolve so look out for more vodcasting on the Internet.
