Suit up with exclusive Dead Space extras

Electronic Arts is offering some enticing perks exclusive to PlayStation 3 owners and those who pre-order its sci-fi based survival horror.

Looking forward to Dead Space, the 18+ rated survival horror that has you trying to stay alive against the attacks of gruesome, rampaging creatures? Well, Electronic Arts has thrown in some extras to add a little bit more spice to the space-bound adventure.

Exclusive to PlayStation 3 owners, the Obsidian Rig will be available to download from PlayStation Store by logging on with the game. The download provides main character Isaac with a suit that boasts special PlayStation 3 themed colours, increased toughness and more inventory slots. The Obsidian Rig will be available for free from October 24 to November 7, 2008, and then for a fee after that date.

If you want to grab a slice of the Dead Space action right now, there's the chance to get the limited edition red-tinged Scorpion Rig download by pre-ordering the game at selected shops. Once pre-ordered, you'll be given a unique code to use when you buy the game, to download the Rig on PlayStation Store.
