Welcome to the most extreme sport on the planet. Take one driver and his trusty navigator, and fire them down the world's most treacherous dirt tracks, icy roads and mountain lanes in a highly tuned, turbo-charged car. Dangerous? Certainly. Exhilarating? Definitely. Fun? You betcha!
The only official rally game reaches its fourth year - and it's getting better every time. WRC 4 brings all the action of this white-knuckle motorsport to your PS2 with everything you'd expect from an official game. All the teams, cars, drivers, rallies and all the action from the global race where the world's finest compete to be crowned WRC champion.
Exciting new game modes rub shoulders with old favourites, giving both existing WRC fans and those new to the sport and the game something really hot. Perhaps the highest temperatures will be caused by the thrilling new online modes for up to 16 players. Forget beating the clock; try taking on 15 opponents in a live, head-to-head race down a single-lane rally course.
Even offline, WRC 4 continues to deliver excitement and exhilaration through the Pro Driver Challenge (drive your way through the key moments in a WRC driver's career), Super Special (two-lane, head-to-head rally stages), Point to Point and Sprint stages.
Whatever route you choose, you'll have access to the official line-up of top class cars such as the Subaru Impreza WRC and the new Peugeot 307 WRC, in addition to cars from the Super 1600 class and Group N4.
You'll be racing these cars at breakneck speeds down all of the WRC's stages around the world, from the picturesque to the downright deadly. Listen closely to the pace notes of your co-driver or your race for glory could end abruptly with a devastating crash.
So whether you're online or off, the extreme world of WRC 4 will take you right to the edge. Have you got what it takes to be there?
