If you've been waiting for the awesome Dancing Stage Euromix 2 to hit home, or you've just completely exhausted Euromix, Disney Mix and Party Edition, then rejoice - the next and greatest instalment has finally jived onto PlayStation 2. Dancing Stage Megamix retains the classic arrow-stepping formula, but with the bonus of heavily improved background visuals, new 'Freeze' steps and, of course, a huge selection of new tracks. As with previous editions, Konami has licensed tunes from a number of top pop artists, although Megamix undoubtedly has the finest line-up yet, with Elvis vs. JXL, Ms Dynamite, The Sugababes, Christina Milian, Kylie Minogue and even The Cure. In addition, there's the usual host of original tracks produced by Konami's in-house musicians, many of which have to be unlocked through repeated play. So get all your friends together, break out the dance mat and prepare to get lost in music all over again.

There's a simple reason why the Dancing Stage craze has swept the world: anyone, whatever their gaming ability, can play and enjoy it. As there's no actual end to the action, you can choose how difficult you want to make things for yourself and improve in your own time without any pressure. Even if you're not interested in playing for points and step combos, you can still pick up a dance mat and start burning those calories with the fat-burning Workout mode. At the other end of the dance spectrum, the truly hardcore can make things even more difficult for themselves by playing in Double mode and/or altering a variety of modifiers, such as double speed and invisible arrows. Even if you've conquered everything there is to offer (and we doubt you will), you can even devise your own routines with the intuitive Edit mode and save them to your Memory Card. A dance dance revolution? You'd better believe it.
