Become a super assassin.

Based on Universal Pictures' action-thriller Wanted, starring James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie, the Wanted videogame, Wanted: Weapons of Fate, promises to deliver the same fantastic visual style, and edge-of-your-seat action as the blockbuster motion picture.

Players continue the story of hero Wesley Gibson, picking up the action where the film left off to create an entirely new chapter exploring both Wesley's journey to becoming an unmatched über assassin and the epic fiction of The Fraternity.

Featuring intense third-person action, Wanted takes combat to the next level with iconic moves such as Curving Bullets and Assassin Time drawn directly from the film, as well as an innovative, multilayered cover mechanic. Are you ready to prove yourself as a Weapon Of Fate?

• Curve bullets in intense firefights

• Master killer assassin moves

• Delve beyond the story of the Hollywood blockbuster

A wanted man

Become the killer of killers in Wanted: Weapons Of Fate on PS3.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be able to bend bullets around corners, people or everyday objects? Wanted is going to teach you just how to do that using your PS3 and a Wireless Controller. For fans of the all-out action film starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy, Weapons Of Fate offers up the chance to carry on the story of Wesley Gibson, super geek turned super assassin with a little help from a secret society known as The Fraternity.

Picking up right where the movie left off players take on the role of both Wesley and Cross - his father - in a storyline that jumps back and forth in time telling the story of the death of Wesley's mother at the hands of a mysterious killer know as The Immortal. In creating the Wanted universe on PS3, developer Grin has melded the world of the movie with some great moments from the original comic book the material is based on. The most fan-pleasing element is a particular costume Wesley gets the chance to don throughout the game as he takes down an army of killers.

Killer curves

Using the game's highly responsive cover system, you goal is to guide Wesley during firefights from cover point to cover point taking out swarms of bad guys as you fight your way through the missions. Wesley can slide out from behind a crate or leap over it and make a move for cover behind walls, other crates or any object that can protect him from gunfire. The choice is yours, and one thing is for certain: you will need to use cover to your advantage if you want to survive in Wanted. If you don't, the whip smart French Fraternity, always hot on your heels throughout the entire story, will get the better of you with a bullet.

Bullet bending is controlled by holding down the R1 button, which in turn projects the arc of your bullet on the screen. If the trajectory is red, the bullet will miss. If, on the other hand, it turns grey after you have adjusted it using the analogue stick, your bullet will most definitely connect, be you firing from around a corner or from behind cover. Bullet bending in Wanted makes for a wealth of inventive ways to take down enemies and complete certain stages of the game in multiple ways using Wesley's spectacular gift.

To do this you'll need to build up adrenaline by killing enemies using either a bullet from your pistol or getting up close and personal with the Circle button for hand-to-hand combat. Some enemies will drop with a single bullet (followed in slick slow motion by the camera), while others will stagger out from behind cover, leaving themselves open to a final and fatal bullet. Wesley can also move between two pieces of cover in slow motion, meaning you can take out multiple enemies advancing on your position during the heat of battle with suitable finesse.

Aim for the head

There are three different modes for you to choose from in the game with The Killer being the toughest difficulty of all. Once you finish and have collected certain pick-ups dotted around each map in the form of parchments, there are a number of unlockables including art, quotes from the development team, and best of all, brand new characters for you to play through the game again with. Other game modes also include Headshot mode which requires you to defeat enemies using just one kill style - the headshot - which can present a challenge.

Pulse-pounding action from start to finish, Wanted: Weapons Of Fate offers fans of the film an amazing way to carry on the story of Wesley Gibson that started with the box office smash hit. For PlayStation fans looking for adrenaline fuelled bullet bending action, your search ends here.
