Prepare to experience the next generation game that will revolutionise air combat.

The setting is 2012. As the era of the nation state draws quickly to a close, the rules of warfare evolve even more rapidly.

More and more nations become increasingly dependent on Private Military Companies (PMCs) – elite mercenaries with a lax view of the law. The Reykjavik Accords further legitimise their existence by authorising their right to serve in every aspect of military operations.

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X is the next generation game primed to revolutionise the way we think about combat in the sky. Cutting-edge technology, devastating firepower, and intense dogfights award this new title a deserving place in the prestigious Tom Clancy series.

Soon, flying at Mach 3 becomes a right, not a privilege.

  • ENHANCED REALITY SYSTEM (ERS) in-game technology helps turn novice aviators into elite pilots of the future
  • Players can ease into their flight missions and gain a level of comfort with the use of the assistance mode
  • For the first time in the air-combat genre, players will be able to experience the entire solo campaign in four-player co-op with seamless jump in / jump out functionality

Embark on a flight of fancy in H.A.W.X

Take aerial warfare to a higher level when you bring fire to the skies of Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X

Ever wanted to take to the skies? Fly away from everyday life? Ubisoft gives you that chance - along with the ability to jet around vast landscapes, talk to wingmen and shoot down a variety of hostile targets… all from the exhilarating cockpit of a fighter plane.

One day I'll fly away

Set in 2014, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X is all about the future of aerial combat. As an elite former US Navy pilot, it's your job to strap yourself into some of the world's best planes and perform a variety of missions for a Private Military Company.

The plot of H.A.W.X has you flying around the world for your duties while a tense battle for global military supremacy unfolds. As conflict increase your missions get more intense, with some requiring you to escort a target to safety or protect a static base, while others have you downing a set number of enemies or going on bombing runs.

You're not just thrown into the deep end of proceedings, however. H.A.W.X introduces and immerses you into its universe to make you feel like you've stepped into a high octane flight combat movie as you choose your call sign, watch the background cutscenes and become enveloped in the sense of drama created by a sweeping filmic score.

Eyes of a H.A.W.X

Tutorials and a steady learning curve help ease you into the game, with each element of your flying machine unobtrusively drifted in as the mission goes on. You steadily learn how to lock on to a target, tell wingmen to attack or defend, use the throttle and brakes to maximum effectiveness and utilise the numerous weapon types, from single rockets and bombs to guided missiles that can lock on to several targets at once.

Flying is intuitive, with enough control granted over your powerful craft without the overwhelming options that would come with such a vehicle in real life. The most helpful piece of tech at your disposal is your Enhanced Reality System (ERS), which offers on-screen guidance for avoiding enemy missiles, intercepting rival planes, creating an optimal flight path for attacks and more.

If you require a bit more sway over your plane, there is also the ability to turn off your fighter's safety assistance - which is risky because you can stall the engine, among other hazards. However, it also forces you into an external viewpoint which allows sharper command to avoid projectiles and perform tight aerial manoeuvres.

Fly into the danger zone

Along with its single player mode, there is also the option to fly with three human wingmen at your side co-operatively - although should you find your cohorts too much like hard work you can also take on others online in the Versus mode for up to 16 players.

With its sharp visuals and wide appeal to flying novices and veterans, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X will take you into thrilling dogfights at high speed and leave you breathless for more. Strap yourself in and take flight.
