Feeling hot? Well an exciting new Summer Party has arrived on your PlayStation 2 to turn up the heat - and most exciting of all, you're the star!

Summer brings out the best in all of us. With the sunshine, holidays and feel-good factor riding high, it's no surprise that it sometimes makes you want to burst into song. And while some of your friends may not agree with your vocal talents, why not show them just how good you are by challenging them to the appropriately seasonal interactive singing game, SingStar Summer Party?

Summer lovin'

The charm of SingStar comes from the fact anyone can pick it up and play. If you're not already familiar with the sensational sonic phenomenon, the set-up is wonderfully intuitive. Simply plug in the red and blue SingStar USB mics and boot up the game. There you'll be given a range of 30 tracks to choose from; then when you're happy with your selection warm up those vocal chords. The original music video will come up on your TV screen with the lyrics for you to follow, which means it's your cue to sing your heart out.

Your performance is scored by accuracy, pitch and timing, and you don't just have to go alone or always take on your friends and family to see who's the star of the summer. Duets can be played co-operatively as well as competitively, and if there are eight of you in total the Pass the Mic mode lets you play in teams against each other while the songs are picked randomly. But the best way to play is in Battle mode and compete for the highest score.

Summer Party comes with 30 feel-good favourites to join in with, giving you plenty of choice to keep you crooning across a wide range of genres:
